1st of all, let me apologies for not replying earlier.. it was hell of a month on personal level (without getting into details).. so, here we go:

I 100% agree with that statement, and more; if someone tried to stop or gag you from defending your religion I’ll stand against him, bottom line; I believe in the freedom of speech, even for ideologies and believes I disagree with..

“I should remain silent”.. actually, no body asked you to remain silent, it’s quiet the opposite, I want you to talk and discuss such matter, but not try to stop other people from talking as well by asking to remove the video.. just discuss it with logic or let it be.. I hope I’m clear on this one

and here’s my reply to your points:
1. he didn’t mean god himself as a physical being (obviously, since he’s an atheist and don’t believe in such thing in the 1st place).. he was talking about the “idea” of god, that can be proven wrong (hence the term killed) by scientific logic..

2. I actually agree with you on this one.. unlike most people, I have no problem responding to LOGICAL debate

6. hehehe.. this is not what it meant at all, keep in mind these quotes are by atheist (i.e. don’t believe there’s such thing as god), what this statement means is every culture or civilization (from the ancient Egyptian till now) create gods on their perspective of what the best creature should look and behave like.. compare the Indian, ancient Greek, Arab/Islamic and Egyptian gods to the mentality of the civilizations who created them and you’ll understand what it means..

7. “You don’t have a god”.. actually this point is incorrect, in Islam, you believe that every body has a god.. even if he doesn’t believe in him ;)
as for the quote; it means that every religion dismiss other religions gods (Islam and Hindus, Christians and Islam, etc).. hope it’s clear now

WoW, I just read the last 2 comments (I actually read them a few times). I’m not going to say what I think because I like avoiding controversy, but what I am going to say is how very very very disappointed I am at the fact that I feel my religion is being attacked , and I was immediately categorized as a certain person (which was very racist & hurtful Ghassan) and all this was done by an Arab… a middle easterner living in the middle east, who was probably raised around people who were Muslim or Christian and believed in God. Yet I was born and raised and live in California, a state where Islam is a minority, and I have never had a racist attack like the one on this post. Which makes me wonder…. how open minded people really are????

Then he searched my profile to prove his failure of discussion & dealt with me as a god defender , I am not a perfect person & I am not doing all my worshippings according to Islam , it is my mistake & I admit it , but this doesn’t mean that I should remain silent after i see such a video attacking my religion .
I am 100% sure that very few people here read all these quotes because the video is very lengthy & boring to read , so I will post here some of them that I found very offensive to others & then you all can judge … i will write below each of them my personal logical analysis not religious analysis :
1. " Gods are fragile things , they maybe killed by a whiff of science or a dose of common sense."
How Chapman Cohen describe something that he has never seen as fragile & claims that it can be killed by science & common sense ? I think he is trying to creat an invisible personal victory for him .
2. " All thinking men are atheists."
This is totally wrong because there are many Muslim , Christian , Jewish thinkers who has done alot of achievements in all the fields of life much more than atheists , you can check all the history books for this & if you want i will mention alot of them for you .
3. " There are 2 classes of men : Intelligent men without religion , and religious men without intelligence."
Calling us stupids indirectly , this is cheap way of self thinking that you are better than others , you can prove it in another way .
4. " Don’t pray in my school & i won’t think in your church."
Nonsense said by unknown person that’s why they didn’t give him importance , otherwise he will remain memorable & his name will not be lost & will remain remarkable .
5. " People who don’t like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn’t have such funny beliefs."
This gives the right for you to have fun of the other’s beliefs , you laugh at their beliefs which are considered sacerd for them & harm the feelings of the people who don’t think like you , this is mockery .
6. “Gods always behave like the people who created them .”
This sentence makes no sense , have you ever seen my god and how he behaves ? so this is personal prediction .
7. " When you understand why you dismiss all the other gods, you will understand why i dismiss yours ."
You don’t have a god so it means i didn’t dismiss yours & you don’t have the right to dismiss mine .

Not being able to express our feelings or thoughts is the greatest sin and not otherwise. What Ghassan did was mirror the ideas of others like writers, philosophers, poets, scientist, economists and comedians in a video montage.
I’ve read and watched the video through and it instigates thought: free thought is for everyone, which is why it is called free.
One shouldn’t shut himself out and refuse to listen to what others have to say even if it contradicts his own ethos, beliefs and religion. A true believer can fight the temptation. Imagine yourself facing hundreds of cups filled with liquor and one cup of water…which one would you choose? Supposedly, the one which is better for yourself…in my case it is the cup of water but this doesn’t negate the fact that the other cups with different content exist…
I am a man, who grew up avoiding trouble but being a writer, who admires the works of some people mentioned in the video like my favorite writer Ernest Hemingway, I had to write this. It is my duty as a writer.

OoOoOoH Ghassan , it is a good effort from you , i am not saying that i am a very religious man infront of you and these pictutres which you are showing are just funny pictures , She is a girl ( indicate that the girls can’t drive well ) and Nuns ( funny picture that doesn’t show their legs , it is just the chairs done in a funny way ) and Martina Hings ( she is my favorite tennis player and i don’t see anything special in the pic , she is only tired )…. But realize that in all these shots i have never attacked the god or the creation , i know that we all are created by ALLAH and i have total believe in this thing .
As for my comments , i think if the viewer will see the full comments he will know that i have just admired the girl bcoz she was pretty but when the guy talked about following the genitalia , i stopped him bcoz he opened the picture for the same reason too but when the other guy thanked me i clarified for him that i didn’t upload this picture ( keep on mind that i didn’t say i am doing right , i said that it is better to ignore the pic and leave without opening it ) ..
Listen Ghassan , i am asking you again to respect yourself and stop talking about our ALLAH bcoz he doesn’t need any representataive or defender in earth as you said …You can attack me and criticize me as you like because i am a human being and i can fall in mistake BUT i will never allow you to attack my ALLAH .

Guys, Ikbis is open to everyone’s thoughts as long as no one offends the other. I don’t want to delve into religion. But as humans, I think we should respect all other humans no matter the religion and even if they don’t believe in a certain religion. I have so many friends of all religions and also none believers. Having a certain religion or none doesn’t mean a person is good or not, this is something i learned over the years. I personally manage to accept all “good” people no matter their beliefs. Why should i decide who is good and who is bad based on his/her beliefs?
Don’t you all think there are bad and good Jews, Christians, Muslims and atheists?

LoL Ghassan, sorry buddy, but I totally 100 percent disagree buddy :) Atheism nowadays to many people is a sort of religion to them. You cannot be a Muslim/Catholic/Christian/Jew, and believe in any sort of Atheism, the reason being because those religions are BASED upon believing there is a God, Atheists believe that there is no God. They are complete opposites. I know a Muslim gal (she was screwed up) but she turned Atheist, she turned dark, she left Islam, I had a couple of other buddies who grew up going to Church, but turned Atheist, and quit Church, they Label themselves as Atheists which means they are no longer Muslim or Christian. It’s because of these stupid Atheist and people who believe in their crazy stuff that teachers in schools can’t even say the word “god” anymore. Atheist are dark sided stupid people. Ghassan…do u believe in Atheism??? I kept an open mind while reading these quotes, and they all seem very ignorant. I never understood Atheists though. All the Atheists I know are in to “the dark side”. I don’t get how they think there is a dark side with out the opposite (a bright side)
