A Forgotten Story from Quneitra

Part of a presentation for the production Juyoub Mansiyeh (Forgotten) being developed by award winning director Sawsan Darwaza, produced by Nadine Toukan, Pioneers Production Company, Jordan 2007. Socio-political impact changes landscapes and people’s lifestyles, livelihoods and lineage. In a world full of bad news which draws attention mainly if it plays like an action movie, this film aims to give voice to people and place in neglected situations, socially, politically, or both. Our objective is to boldly present stories that help ensure these places and their peoples are no longer forgotten. The action starts now. Although this project is still in development, we aim to fully harness the power of online community activism to begin voicing out to the world some of the forgotten we are slowly finding. This is the story of Quneitra as told by Abu Zuhdi in April 2004 while Sawsan and her crew where on a research trip. This is the first of an evolving online documentary.
