I’m sure it’s fantastic, i remember taking long trains in the UK, i loved it. 5 hours is quite long, come think about it it’s like traveling from Amman to Paris.
I love your regional train idea! The scenery won’t be as beautiful though.
It’s five hours! But a fantastic ride. If you take the direct train and don’t have to switch at stations, etc – it’s fantastic and not a pain at all I found. The scenery is beautiful every inch of the way. And the trains are an awesome, comfortable, clean ride. You can work, charge ur toys, make phone calls – live ur life regular in a moving room. Some have wifi.
I’m planning a theory blog about this…. I think train travel is an extremely important and civilized way to travel that helps create a new fabric in communities and behavior. I think if the Arab cities were linked by train and we could commute communally like that, it would transform this region to the much better in so many ways, and fast ;)

Cannes to Paris must be a long way, i wonder how many hours, i miss trains
